One of my favourite things about our proposal morning was how nervous my fiancé was, knowing full well that the answer was going to be yes as we had already planned and paid for the wedding. But my next favourite thing.. The photos he organised.

The morning of, the love of my life was jittery and impatient. He is a bit of a stress fiend at times so it wasn’t abnormal that he was impatient or fussing, the sweating in the car when the aircon was on full pelt at 9 am was a little odd. But not something I would really put past him.

The photography he organised, was honestly perfect. Rebecca is a proposal and family photographer and she caught all of those beautiful little candid, intimate moments with perfection. One of my favourite moments that captures ‘us’ is this image below.

I don’t remember what I said, but I know it was something ridiculous and stupid, probably some form of sexual innuendo with a line of shade on top of it, knowing me. But the little increments she caught is something I will cherish forever.

For those of you looking to propose on the Sunshine Coast.

Noosa Picnics – Created the most beautiful and stress free morning for my fiancé. For some back story, my fiancé works in Africa on a sic week roster. Organising a proposal from twelve thousand kilometres away was not an easy task and you even ask him now, a few months after the fact, he raves about how amazing Amanda was. The picnic set up was so perfect as well. I cannot get over the colour scheme, location and all the finer details she included.

We had Moët, we had cheese, we had sparkling water, beer.. I would highly recommend working with them if you’re looking for a proposal or even a special date idea. Even after the fact she was amazing.

Just as he proposed, a lovely lady who had been married for sixty three years came up to us and said she hopes we have as much happiness as she has for the duration of her marriage and it was such a special moment. To have someone share such love to strangers is something I will remember forever.

Noosa Photographer – Rebecca Colefax – Her style, her aesthetic, her editing, her demeanour, her recommendations in the moment. Honestly, if you’re looking for a local photographer whose artistic creativity shines in everything she does and is prepared to come in stealth mode, look no further. We have gone back and purchased extra photos, twice, because I couldn’t decide on which was my favourite of each theme she captured.

I am in the process of getting a bunch of these printed, but we ended up with over thirty photos from the morning and trying to choose has been so difficult, I just want them all printed across the wall in our living room!

One of the little moments of intimacy Rebecca prioritised.

He cried when he proposed, I cried when we got the photos.

And I will cry every time they’re posted, printed or shared for the rest of our lives.

We’re so grateful to all the creativity of these women and how brilliantly they run their businesses. Thank you for creating such a special day for us both.
