A good neighbour is neighbour who will climb through your dog door and feed your animals while you’re stuck in a medical emergency in another state because she knows you have no one else to help.
A good neighbour is one who stands out the front the day after your wedding waiting for you to come home and asks about everything that happened.
A good neighbour is one who you can call to grab a lemon for you from the supermarket because you can’t drive after having taking pain medication from an endometriosis flare up.
A good neighbour is one who checks on you regularly because she knows your husband works away for 242 days a year and sometimes it gets lonely.
We all need community, we need people around us who watch our back for no other reason than they know you’re there and they care.
That is what makes a good neighbour.
